Timor-Leste Adventist International School (TAIS) joyfully closed the academic year with a meaningful celebration of learning and growth through its Kindergarten Closing Exercises, High School Commencement Exercises, and Recognition Day with the Class name of “Fidelis: Loyal and Faithful”. These milestone events, filled with inspiration and gratitude, brought together students, parents, educators, and community leaders to give thanks to God for a fruitful and blessed school year.
The Kindergarten Closing Exercises showcased the joyful accomplishments of our youngest learners. Through songs, presentations, and awards, the children expressed their excitement and readiness to take the next step in their educational journey. We were deeply honored to have the Director of ADRA Timor-Leste, Ms. Virginia Pycroft, who delivered the Keynote Address, inspiring the young graduates to grow in both wisdom and character.
During the same week, TAIS proudly held its High School Commencement Exercises, which included the graduating classes of Grades 6, 9, and 12. This ceremony recognized the achievements of our high school graduates, highlighting their academic journey and spiritual growth throughout the school year. We were honored to welcome Ms. April Hernandez, Embassy Consular Attaché, who delivered an inspiring Commencement Address, emphasizing three key messages for the graduates: to study diligently, cultivate a love for reading, and embrace the humility to say sorry.”
The celebration continued with Recognition Day, where students from all grade levels were honored for their academic excellence, leadership, creativity, and exemplary character.
These events served as a beautiful reminder that success is not only measured by grades but also by growth, perseverance, and Christlike values. We express our deepest gratitude to all parents for their unwavering support, to our committed teachers and staff for their hard work, and to our esteemed guest speakers for their words of encouragement.
